Libby Koch – Texas Americana singer-songwriter and CCSF alum Libby Koch (pronounced “coke”) is a “country meets soulful” (Free Press Houston), “feisty Texas songbird” (Country Music People) who “sings her story with a little twang, some slide guitar, and a lot of heart” (Texas Monthly). Libby is working on the follow up album to her critically acclaimed 2016 LP Just Move On (Berkalin Records). Working in Nashville with Grammy-winning producer Bil VornDick, she draws on legends from Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn to Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris, among others, to craft “true cryin’ and leavin’ country songs.” Combining her country soul with a seventh-generation Texas troubadour’s storytelling skill, Koch fills her songs with intimacy and honesty. Like the most timeless country classics, they’re the kind that make you feel good about feelin’ bad.
Hope Cassity – 2023 CCSF Best of Fest winner Hope Cassity’s music transcends genres, capturing influences from rock, blues, and classic country. Her voice has the power to bring audiences to tears, and their feet. She’s not just an artist; she’s a motivational speaker who shares her remarkable journey with humor, honesty, and a contagious spirit. Hope Cassity is more than a name; she’s a symbol of hope and resilience, a living testament to the power of believing in oneself. Witness her heart and soul displayed so beautifully on stage, and you won’t want to miss this remarkable artist who gives others hope… from a girl named Hope.
Brian Wolff – Making his debut at CCSF in 2024, Brian Wolff is a guitarist, singer and songwriter based in Austin, Texas. Born in upstate New York, Brian moved to Austin in 2012 and has taken the local music scene by storm. Wolff’s musical style draws influence heavily from Classic Rock, 90’s Alternative, and Blues. His songs are marked by big guitars and impactful rhythms complete with thoughtful, introspective and unique lyrics. Brian was one of the founding members of the band Fair City Fire, a mainstay of Austin performance venues for over 7 years.
Terry Klein – Returning to CCSF this year, Terry Klein is a performing songwriter whose growing catalog of finely wrought captivating songs has made him a respected member of the Folk and Americana music communities. Terry has played in some of the most hallowed rooms in the singer-songwriter business: Club Passim, The Bluebird, The Saxon Pub, and Anderson Fair, to name a few. He’s played sets and won over crowds at the Blanco River Songwriters Festival, the Corpus Christi Songwriters Festival, the Hotel Turkey Songwriters Festival, and the Montrose Music Festival. Before all that, a couple of lifetimes ago, he played in a heavy metal band in Los Angeles, thrashing around on grimy, storied stages like the Troubadour and the Whiskey A Go Go. Somewhere in the middle there, Terry worked in politics and then as a trial lawyer.
Jenna Ivey – Making her CCSF debut, El Paso-based Jenna Ivey is a force to be reckoned with. As a multi-talented artist and performer, Jenna is making waves in the music, theatre and film scenes all at once as a singer-songwriter and actor. She also a member of The Iveys, who have been touching the hearts of listeners for years with sincere sounds and captivating lyrics. A wild group of siblings born and raised on the Western tip of Texas on the farmlands of the Rio Grande, The Iveys have a history that is as interesting as their sound: experimenting with harmonies while wandering the dirt roads of the El Paso lower valley, the Ivey siblings have been making music together since childhood. Inspired by classic rock like the Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel as well as soulful legends like Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash.
Tom Meny – Returning to the fest for the first time since 2020, Award-winning songwriter Tom Meny currently calls Buda, TX home. Stationed near the live music mecca of Austin, it can be difficult to stand out in a vast sea of great musicians. But Tom Meny is a voice apart from the rest. With influences ranging from Glen Hansard to John Mayer, Tom uses non-standard guitar tuning, a soulful voice, memorable melodies and direct lyrics that set himself apart and connect with his audiences. Among his accolades are numerous songwriting awards including winning efforts at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival’s New Folk Competition (2015), the Wildflower Arts and Music Festival’s Performing Songwriter Competition (2017), The Recording Conservatory of Austin’s Singer Songwriter Competition (2013), and many others.
Brian Kalinec – Brian Kalinec, a first timer at CCSF, is an award-winning, Houston, Texas-based Americana/folk singer-songwriter. His East Texas roots have combined with his urban experience to form his own particular view of the world, which is reflected in his songs. Renowned folk singer-songwriter Tom Pacheco says of Brian in his liner notes from The Fence: “…these songs resonate in our own times. I’m sure Woody would have loved them… he sings, writes, and plays so seamlessly that it feels these songs have always been there…He is a special messenger. I like him a lot.” A native of Beaumont, Brian picked up the guitar at an early age and began a life spent crafting songs and nurturing songwriters. His writing has drawn favorable comparisons to that of Woody Guthrie, John Steinbeck, Rodney Crowell, and Jim Croce, and it resonates with audiences, fellow songwriters, and music lovers alike.
The Piano Room – Performing at the CCSF for the very first time in 2024, The Piano Room is a Piano Indie Pop duo that blends male & female harmonies, interwoven piano parts, thought provoking lyrics. Hailing from Midland, TX, The Piano Room is a husband-and-wife duo that has been releasing music consistently in recent years, with their latest single, Divemorrow making waves.
Art & Lisa – Making their third appearance at the fest, Art & Lisa is a Bandera-based, award-winning husband-and-wife duo made up of Art Crawford and Lisa Beck. In 2010, their album, Learning to Breathe Again, was nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year at the Texas Music Awars.
Hollin McKay – Making his second appearance at CCSF, Hollin McKay is a performing songwriter from Bandera, Texas. His music, best described as Americana, offers clever storytelling that provides thoughtful insight into the human condition. Hollin was born in Lubbock and raised in the hills surrounding the Medina River. He uses these landscapes as a backdrop for many of the characters in his songs, whether they are travelers simply passing through town or a wrongly accused parolee in Mississippi looking for a little justice. In addition to his solo material, Hollin has written and played with his brother, Noel, for many years. Several of Hollin’s songs recorded and released as part of The McKay Brothers can be heard on radio stations across Texas. The stages Hollin calls home include Gruene Hall, Luckenbach, and the legendary John T. Floore Country Store in Helotes, Texas.
Michael Waid – Award-winning songwriter Michael Waid makes his return to CCSF for the first time since 2019. As he describes himself, “A while back I was trading slide guitar licks with Ray Wylie Hubbard live on the radio and thinking, “How cool is this?” Mattson Rainer of KNBT, the top-rated Americana station in the country, had called earlier in the week and asked me to play on their “Roots and Branches of Americana” show. So there I was, doing what I love to do best—play music. I know it may sound “hokey” to some but it’s the whole point of me being here. It’s one of the few times I can become totally lost in the moment. It feeds my soul.”
