PAST FESTIVAL UPDATES:
This past weekend, we held the 2019 #CCSongwritersFestival, our second one. We hosted 39 songwriters over a three-day period, with three concerts, two after parties, three workshops, at six different local venues.
We had over a dozen local songwriters, and songwriters from Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Fredericksburg, Bandera, Divine, and several cities in between! Our crowd was local, and Texan, and beyond, with many coming in and spending the weekend in the Coastal Bend, some — for the very first time.
Personally, I am humbled by the feedback we’ve gotten thus far, that what we did was magical, successful, something that’s needed for our community…and (what really hits me in the feels) inspiring.
Thank you to all 39 songwriters, each and every one of you were integral to the sum of what our festival became. Your songs, and the stories behind them, define why we do what we do.
I want to especially thank Walt Wilkins, Susan Gibson, and George Ensle for their amazing workshops given on the craft of songwriting on Saturday.

This year was everything we hoped it would be and more. And I know I’m not alone in this, Presidents Day Weekend 2020 is going to be legendary!

ANNOUNCING: Renowned singer-songwriters and returning festival alum Susan Gibson and George Ensle as our featured songwriters, and this year’s workshop hosts. On Saturday, Feb. 16, George will be hosting a morning session, and Susan will be hosting an afternoon session, and then they will perform together in a must-see Song-Swap Saturday evening!
